Don't over-engineer. Get started and add new things bit by bit.

Press cmd/ctrl + P to access. Anything you need to do can be done from here. If you use vacode this will come naturally.

Note: You can also use commands from anywhere by typing /, and the command. This needs to be enabled in the settings, but is a game-changer!

Press cmd/ctrl + O to quickly open any note.

Backlinks are what set Obsidian apart. Don't think of your notes as a list, but as a graph.

When making a note, think when you will want to rediscover it, and add backlink.

At least for me notes in other apps disappear forever once I've made them. With backlinks they are part of a larger whole.

Use tags for lighter linking. Tags will connect notes on the same subject in the graph.
